Standing here all alone Hoping you will take me home I'm being as pretty as I can be So that you will notice me I don't know what else to do so I'll just stand and wait for you written by =Vanessanon for this picture. ***
I hope you like it Every kind of feedback is appreciated. Especially because it's one of my first pictures with my new lens!
I must say that it's very lovely! I like the color - no color at all - just brownish. Perfect. The view is amazing, thought I do think that it would also be nice, and very original if you made more of a zoom in of the flower, other then a zoom out. I'm not thrilled with that. Other then that, it is very good, because I love love love the colors. The backround is put in very nicely, because it was blured off, and now looks like a screenshot from a movie. This looks mostly like a wallpaper that you would find on the internet. Any hoo, the photography style was nicely done. Keep up the work, I know that you might be able to do better. Great job, thought!
I just couldn't resist but write a critique to this. You have written so many critiques for my pieces that I just need to do something in revenge!
First of all, this might be on of your best pieces so far! It is such a simple image, yet so effective. Monochrome flower shots are something I personally adore, but imagine this in B/W - it wouldn't look as striking as it does in sepia! The color gives a touch of old, yet leaves it quite vivid and warm, I personally like that! The composition itself is brilliant, too. It's something else, the way how you left so much space makes the plant appear so very small and lost, but the way all the leaves and the blossom so to say face the sky makes it somehow ... happy? I never thought plants could express much emotion, but weirdly enough, I feel some kind of character to this flower. Quite lovely! Also, the way the blossom appears lit up and of course the depth of field make this piece technically correct, vivid and a little more special.
A few things I would have improved would, although I already said the compositon is great, putting the plant slightly upwards so you don't cut off the leave's borders at the bottom, this would make it more complete! A little less grain would have also been great, but it is not too distracting.

Overall, I really like this shot.
Keep it up.
