This picture was taken in Kartuzy, Poland. We had two days of sun and 5 days of rain, and one day I brought myself to go outside with my camera. Well, old habits die hard, but I did it and took this picture. After that, I escaped into our house.
I hope you like it! Every kind of feedback is warmly appreciated!
To start off nicely, I really like the impact it gives away. The simple blur effect once again delivers a magnificient shot of that picture. I like the fact that the other plants in the background are the same. However, you make the eye contact with the one on the front.
Emotionally, when I see this picture, I feel empathy and sorrow; the colours given with the context, here being rain, makes the impact of the picture stronger.
On the other hand, I would've played a little with the contrast. If the picture was a bit darker, you could've really hit a spot where the emotion coming out of it was sorrow and depression. Of course, no one wants to feel that, but it's just a little tip I would give you.
In sum, really great picture, great technique, amazing impact, I give it a 4 on 5.
This is a great shot - it really captures the delicate orders of nature.
The composition is well thought out and executed. My first impression was that I was seeing the same plant twice - once in the background and again in the front. The arrangement of two different plants with similar structures makes for a neat effect - it seems to help the foreground "pop out" so to speak.
Most important of all, though, the artist did a great job capturing the serene peace and quiet following a long rain. Through the complex, but undisturbed drops on the stems - and the quietly hanging drops on the leaves, the photograph effectively pulls the viewer into the scene and invites them to enjoy the calm.
