Daily Deviation

Suggester says; a simple concept .. but with such a strong meaning and I really looked at this photo for some minutes because it definately drew my attention. I also love the bokeh and the black and white colours gives the feeling of sadness.
Outsider. by =dragonfly-oli ( Suggested by !xJennchenx and Featured by `ScENeYmE )

The vision of this piece is standard- put any objects together with one standing out as different and you can't go wrong. Still, I love the antiqued clothes pin so you seem to also be conveying an age or maybe cultural difference here which I bet was unintended.

This scene has been overdone and has become a cliche by now as far as originality goes.

Your technique is good- you have sharp forground focus and lovely bokeh in the background and an interesting inbetween area with the second clothes line and the blurry clothes pin there.

The impact it made on me was rather poor. Try to put something unique or nonstandard in the next cliche image and theme combination and it would blow my mind.

This is quite a nice photograph, however much the same scene has been done.

I like the theme of the outsider although im having trouble decideing whether the outsider is the one to the right or the one outside the degree of focus. either way is good i suppose.

the contrast is really good in this photo and it is helped alot by the lighting, it is just right.

I think something that could improve this is maybe adding a little colour. i love it in monochrome but if the outsider was a colour then it may stand out more as being different other than being a different type of peg.
Just a suggestion.

Well done though.

awesome pic! how did you get such a great contrast on it? As in, the shadows are really deep but the pegs have stayed the same how did you achieve this affect it looks awesome!

I love this. They are all outsiders to me because it is an outdoor clothes line. Black and white conveys the attitude of simplicity, as does your subject matter. Maybe the one to the right is an outsider because it literally is an outlier separated from the others. I enjoyed looking at it, so it is art for me! My mom hung clothes out to dry. I am considering doing the same. Thanks.
