When the cold days start.

What can I say?! This piece of art is simply stunning! All too often there are leaf shots posted on dA that are good, (I'm guilty of posting some naff ones!) but I haven't seen one for quite a while that has made me go 'Wow!' like this one has. It's clear and concise; simple yet absolutely effective and I can really feel the dedication that must've gone in to getting a photo like this.
I love the way the frost gathered around the edge of the leaf contrasts with the rich, warm orange and brown tones and gives it that strangely cosy, wintery feeling rather than just being a cold leaf in a patch of frosty grass; for me that just makes it perfect!
